Eighteen months after the contracts were signed Andries Vlot, General Manager of TSN Green, still enthusiastic about the collaboration with DNA Services. It was not without reason that Andries was together with in June 2022 Hans de Wit, Commercial Director & Co-Owner DNA Services, on stage at the ITT event about logistics & transport. Together they explained how the fast-growing logistics service provider from Houten can excel in the field of sustainable transport thanks to the IT services of DNA Services. Shared ambitions and a good connection ensure this optimal collaboration, Andries and Hans emphasize.

TSN Groen is one of the most progressive logistics service providers for web shops and retail. The company specializes in the complete logistics handling of large consumer goods, via a growing logistics network with hubs in Houten, Drachten, Rijen, Schiphol, Bleiswijk, Twente and Schelle (Belgium).

IT facilitates ambitions
From its distribution hubs, the company serves Benelux-wide leading customers such as IKEA, Kwantum and Leen Bakker. The service package is aimed at offering the goods at any time the consumer wishes. For this purpose, TSN Groen has developed services such as Same day delivery, Before work delivery, Next day delivery, After work delivery. But also Time frame delivery, Weekend service and even VIP service, where the consumer determines the exact time of delivery.

Due to the strong growth of TSN Groen and the growing diversity in the surrounding services, there was a need for a solid and experienced IT partner with demonstrable references within the logistics sector. “We are a fast-growing service provider,” says Andries. “In order to continue to achieve our growth, it is a prerequisite that we have the right expertise in the field of IT. Alfons describes the model as follows: Uniserver supplies the engine (IT infrastructure and services), the partner (DNA Services) builds the car around it and the end customer (TSN Groen) – sits behind the wheel and determines the direction. “We ensure that the engine keeps running and is very flexible. For example, a logistics service provider may need a larger engine than the bakery on the corner. But even if the engine needs to become heavier because TSN is growing, we can adjust this quickly and flexibly. This way we can add or remove workplaces on a daily basis, for example if an intern is added. In the meantime, the customer can continue driving.” And, Alfons emphasizes, everything is done with a major focus on safety. “Our environment is constructed very safely. That is also necessary in this day and age. Whether it concerns repelling a DDOS attack, or storing backups of data in such a way that a hacker cannot change or delete the data.”

Sustainable growth leads to awards

TSN Groen has now won various prizes and awards due to its sustainable growth. A growth that is partly based on the 'engine' of Uniserver and the 'car' of DNA Services.

For example, during the annual award ceremony in the Netherlands, the CO2 neutral company was selected by the professional jury as the 'Most Sustainable Company in the Netherlands 2021'. TSN Groen received the award partly because of its investments in electric transport and in the activities to ensure the well-being of drivers. 'With this, TSN Groen sets the standard for the industry and their impact is enormous,' said the professional jury.

In January 2022, TSN Groen already won the EZK Energy Award 2021. This Award is presented annually to organizations that distinguish themselves positively with energy savings, sustainable energy generation and/or renewable heat. TSN Groen is called a leader within its industry in the field of sustainability and social involvement. According to the jury report, the company distinguishes itself most through its sustainable energy generation and sustainable business operations.
